Bidra med feedbackWaited 30 minutes for cold eggs that were not over easy they were fried hard ,cold and raw hash browns in a puddle of grease they didn't seem to care sent it back paid for my coffee and left.
The food was pretty good! That being said, two different people waited on us trying to get everything right, and the A/C must have been broken because it was so hot in there I couldn't stay long enough to finish my food. Hopefully, they get that fixed so I can go back and give them another shot. Nice people.
First time visit for me. My husband had eaten there several times before so the visit was at his suggestion. It is a typical small town café. Not very big, full of local decor playing country music. Staff was very friendly helpful, willing to actually convers. Standard hamburger was ordered with fries (these were the very thin kind) sweet tea. I have to say the hamburger was large, very think patty (guessing about 1/2 lb), veggies were fresh, fries hot tea very good. I think it was less than $10, certainly worth it. The out-of-the-way, hole-in-the-wall places in small country towns are sometimes the absolute best. This is one. May go back try one of the meals on the menu. Would recommend.
Service was very spotty possibly because there seems to be a recent change in ownership. What used to be Mom's Cafe is now The Cafe. Mom's not running this place any more. Waitress was very helpful as she pointed out that the special I was about to order was actually cheaper if I just ordered the regular item off the normal menu as I'd get the same items and it would be $2 less. Food took quite a while to arrive (30+ min) for chicken fried steak and eggs and an order of chicken and waffles. Wait staff seemed to be having disputes over either having too many tables or too few, it was never clear. But, they definitely didn't have zones as both were taking orders all over the places including in both rooms of the place. We'll try again in a couple of months and see if they've evened things out better.
Great breakfast. The biscuits are light and fluffy, with delicious sausage gravy. Pancakes are also light, fluffy and delicious. Couldn't finish them.Had some peach cobbler which was also very good.Friendly staff, and friendly patrons. This is a wonderful small-town diner.
