Bidra med feedbackDuring our holiday with the children, we decided to have lunch at Kadina Bakery around 1pm. However, upon entering the shop, we noticed that their trading hours were different from what was listed on their website, stating that they closed at 5pm. We were informed that they actually closed at 2:30pm. Unfortunately, the bakery had limited options for hot food and cakes, which left us disappointed. This oversight should not have occurred, especially during school holidays.
I visited this bakery for lunch on Saturday, August 31, 2019. I have been here before without any issues. However, this time when we arrived, we tried to order quiche and chips, which were not available. We then tried to order pizza and chips, but they were also not available. Finally, when we tried to order just a plate of chips, we were told they were not available. When I asked why we couldn't have any lunch options, the girl explained that they had run out of food and the chips were no longer made in-house as the nearby takeaway shop was now preparing them. Feeling disappointed, we decided to leave and will not be returning. Instead, I recommend visiting the Kadina Hotel, where I had one of the best lunches I've ever had at a cheaper price. They had a special offering at least 7 $12.95 lunch options, and my friend and I enjoyed two large pieces of butterfish with chips each. Additionally, they had a free salad bar and complimentary espresso coffee. Sorry, Kadina Bake House, but the Kadina Hotel won me over.
The coffee was bitter and burnt, the pies and pastries were lukewarm, and the cakes and scones were stale. The management was completely unsympathetic. They should understand the concept that "the customer is always right." Additionally, it would be advantageous to have EFTPOS available in this modern era.
Cornish Bakehouse has been a family favorite for many years the staff are very friendly, and they always have a wide and delicious selection of hot and cold good. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and is a perfect meal or snack location.
Like many bakeries, this one has it's return customers. It's easy to see why. Although the roads in Kadina make navigating a nightmare, it was comforting to find a lovely place to stop and relax and eat. Our bakery lunch was tasty and our coffee was worth it too. It has a good variety of hot and cold things to choose from.
