Smitty's Family Restaurant

When entering the establishment you have no push buttons & 2 doors entering into the same foyer before lining up for the last door. The decor is novel and there is sound deadener on the ceiling to offset the tile floors. There are 2 levels of seating with the first level being the only accessible one. The washrooms are once again hard for a wheeler to negotiate but located near the main door. The food is good as it is chain managed food that is shuffled on and off the menus. Parking is excellent in the plaza across from the Lindsay Square and just for this it shines over the Peterborough Smittys plus the lack of extreme noise.

There are a lot of good breakfast restaurants out there. We like Smitty's because the staff is friendly, the food is good, and there are lots of tables. But the best thing is that the breakfast special has an option to get (really good) pancakes instead of toast and potatoes. We will continue to eat at Smitty's.

We went to Smitty's on a busy day for breakfast (around lunch time). The food we recieved was a very good value considering the large portions. As well, the eggs benedict I had was by far the best Ive ever eaten! My partner's meal was very good as well. It was all hot when it came out and to order - our server was attentive and we enjoyed that the coffee carafe was left at the table. We both enjoyed our experience.

Breakfast special...We happened upon Smitty's this am.. purely by accident...almost went to A&W and my husband noticed Smitty's ... we were up extra early for a drive to our favourite bakery....we were pleased to see on a Sunday morning they were open at 7am... we both had the breakfast special..$5.99 ( 7-10am)which included a carafe of coffee and a huge pot of tea!!! We both enjoyed our selections.. but the pancakes had absolutely no flavour... next time would opt for the toast instead!!We will definitely eat there again!! A very pleasant way to start our day!

Stopped by for brunch with family at the end of our trip. Food was delicious, service was quick and friendly, and they accommodated our late-arriving family without breaking a sweat, even on a busy morning.
