West Coast Cape Fox Lodge - Ketchikan

I visited this place for the second time and it was fantastic! I only went there for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent, and I was lucky to get a cozy seat in the dining room right in front of the TV, perfect for watching football. The service was good, and the views are amazing.

We also faced a strange situation where we were told there were no tables available but were directed to the pizza place downstairs, only to be rejected there as well. The staff at the pizza place offered to call the upstairs restaurant to check for availability, and they confirmed they could accommodate us, so we went back upstairs—almost as if they wanted us to "work up an appetite." The wait staff there seemed disinterested in taking our order, which was surprising given the restaurant's nice decor and favorable online reviews. I wonder if they might be under new management or perhaps short-staffed? In any case, the prices do not reflect the quality of service we experienced. After the odd interaction with the long-haired front desk employee, we have decided to explore other dining options in Ketchikan, where the service is much more welcoming and professional.

As for walkability, it's just a 10-minute stroll down a wooden staircase to historic Creek Street, the salmon ladder, the museum, and the "married men's path." The dining area has a nice ambiance and offers a great view.

Pretty darn good place to stay when you are in Ketchikan. Staff is super friendly and rooms and lodge common areas are good. Great location with some nice views of the ocean. Close to the main row of bars, stores and restaurants. Best part is how friendly and helpful the staff is to guests. Have stayed there a couple of times and never disappointed.

Pretty nice restaraunt with lots of options. The only thing I could see that was wrong was the service. They were very nice just had to ask for a refill a couple of times. Other than that I would highly recommend.
