On a side note, I would like to mention our experience with the hostess. She wasn't particularly friendly. I’m not sure what her issue was, but she seemed to be in a bad mood and didn’t greet us warmly. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, we were asked to wait. Meanwhile, two other parties with the same reservation were seated immediately.

Excellent experience! Our Italian Uber driver recommended this place, and he was spot on, as we noticed a couple of locals dining there too. The lemon parmesan dressing on the salad was fantastic. We also ordered the pizza margherita, which was delicious (we requested extra basil, of course!). We couldn't resist trying the spaghetti carbonara and the lasagna as well, knowing we’d have leftovers for the next few days. The carbonara was very tasty (we’ve had it many times in Italy), and the lasagna was superb too. By the end of our meal, we were so stuffed that we rolled out of the restaurant for obvious reasons!

If you're craving exquisite Italian cuisine while in Maui, you absolutely must visit Sale Pepe! Be sure to make reservations and prepare for a delightful dining experience. If you see Spaghetti al Tartufo Nero on the menu, don't miss out on it! The black truffles are simply outstanding! My husband tried the polpette, and even though I'm not a huge meat lover, those meatballs were exceptional. This is definitely a must-visit spot in Lahaina!

Absolutely delicious. Truffle Pasta was just one of the best pastas I ever had. The pizza is great. Fantastic Italian cuisine and the espresso is even good!! Hard to find quality coffee in the area. The staff seems to work hard and they are very attentive.

My group of 5 came on Monday evening and I would recommend making a reservation before coming. I ordered their pasta special Fettuccine al Coniglio $32) because of how well described and delicious our waiter explained it and indeed it was very delicious that I was crying tears of joy! It was my first time eating rabbit but I would highly recommend it! The rest of my friends loved what they ordered as well. It took about 20 minutes or so to recieve the food two of my friends ordered lasagna $29) and the server let us know ahead of time) but well worth it! Our waiter was very friendly and she made sure to check on us even though it was busy. I did not try the dessert but my friends liked it. Total came to about $200 with tip for 5 people. Would come by again!
