I give this restaurant 5 stars for their fish dishes! Kerry truly delivers on every type of fish meal or soup. If you're looking for a great brown one-pot fish dish, this is the place to be. And don’t overlook the seafood soup—it's a must-try! You won't regret it!

We had lunch for our family and ordered seven plates, but one dish arrived with mostly rice, very little meat, and a lot of bones. It wasn't what we expected, and the chicken was mixed with pork, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a letdown.

I had a strong craving for callaloo and salt fish. Macken Tree and Dutch Pot serve cooked bananas as a side, so I wanted something similar. I called this restaurant to check if they had everything I needed, and thankfully, they did. I decided to take a chance on this place, even though I hadn’t heard much about it and its rating wasn't the highest. I'm really glad I did! The portion size was generous—I couldn’t even finish it in one sitting. The flavor of their callaloo was comparable to what I've had at Dutch Pot. It was delicious, and at $8.54, an excellent price. I live in Opa Locka, so I might not come as often as I'd like, but I will definitely return. I can’t recall seeing a menu, so I’m not sure what other dishes they offer, but I highly recommend it based on my experience so far.

12/29/21 When I came in, the staff just sat behind the counter in the chair and stared at me. I had to ask her if I ordered. When she tried to order, she couldn't get me because of the headphones in her ear. The couple, with how dirty and dirty it was in there, I just left. Horribler customer service. Better places nearby

If I could give no stars I would. Just like how I walked in and got no greeting. I walked into a restaurant with nobody up front while the cook fixed an order in the back for 10 minutes. When he finally came to the front he said hold on and walked back to the kitchen on his little red cell phone and the shop phone in the other hand. The uber eats lady was there annoyed because he had no food available but yet online everything seemed to be available on the menu. The uber eats lady walked out and that should of been my sign to leave. 15 minute later he comes and ask where the lady is and i ask if there?s oxtails and he tells me yes but let him finish the uber order. He runs out of the store to find the lady but she is long gone. After 30 minutes he says sorry no oxtail. I say why didn?t you tell me that 30 minutes ago and he says sorry I thought there was some but it?s just sweet potato in the gravy. What a waste of time. Who puts sweet potato in oxtail anyway? Instead I ask for curry goat and there?s none so I say what do you have and he says brown stew chicken so I say I?ll take it. He goes over to the pot of rice that had no cover from I walked There until till I walked out. He put the brownstew chicken and the rice in the microwave and nuked the food then came to the front and checked me out. I paid walked out and went home just to end up throwing away because it wasn?t palatable. I will never return to this restaurant in the corner again. Terrible service. Terrible food. Just goes to show anyone can literally open a restaurant. You and island in the pines must have the same owner. You both need to close down because I feel it?s disgraceful. You need to do better. Health code violations all day for you guys.
