Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Lubbock

I had the pleasure of attending the Grand Opening, and it was fantastic! Although there were quite a few people there, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I even got a deal for smoothies for a year, which I'm really excited about. I ordered the Southwest wrap and the Triple Berry Oat, and both were delicious. If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend stopping by to see what delicious options they have to satisfy your taste buds!

I doordash deliver The one at 19th and University was horrible...I drove across town to pick up an order that certainly should have been ready when I arrived...it was 2 grilled cheese...no big deal,still had to wait 10+ minutes for them and I had another pickup to go get... I saw what I thought was my order get brought out and wrapped...and it was my order but they decided I wasn't important enough to bring the customers at least semi warm food.I guess they wanted this and my 2nd order to both be cold. I was not impressed. They weren't busy they were just BS'ing in the back. Would not suggest this location. The 1 by 82nd is far more professional.

I went to this place for a smoothie around 8:45 PM, but found the doors locked. The automated drive-thru message indicated they were closed. Their sign and business hours clearly state they close at 9 PM. I decided to give them a call to check if they were still open. A woman informed me that they were closed, as they typically shut down 15-20 minutes early to clean up. If that's the case, why not adjust the posted hours to reflect a closing time of 8:40 PM?

I strongly urge you to hire more staff at this restaurant. It's clear that the current employees are overwhelmed with their workload. Orders take an excessive amount of time, and there are frequent inaccuracies. Despite these challenges, we all want this place to succeed because it offers excellent food in a fast-food setting.

SO so slow. Which is shocking bc the inside isn't even open. It took over 10 mins for 2 smoothies. No food. The cars behind me probably thought I ordered one of everything. The gal who took my order was not friendly and not engaging AT ALL at the window (Wendaeza was her name). No hi...no thank you. Was handed my smoothie and BOTH cups had smoothie all over them. I had to ask for napkins and sat there and cleaned them off to make sure it didn't make a mess of my car. Just overall poor customer service experience. I'll stick with the other 2 in town next time.
