Bidra med feedbackIt was our first time here. The staff was super friendly we even met the chef. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. They have a great selection on their menu, which is perfect for a variety of tastes. The only issue is parking, which isn't their fault, but there is a public lot behind the building across the way. I'd say it's a great addition to downtown Lynchburg!
Went for dinner at 6pm on a Tuesday. We took a customer there based on 4 star rating on Yelp. The restaurant had only our table of 3 and a large corporate event of 30. Our server was sub par, uninformed about the menu and the drinks. Once the group of 30 was seated, we had to ask for service. Others in my group liked their steak and lamb and said their food was good. I had shrimp and grits not recommended.
Currently today. One of the worst meals I've had. Walked in saw 4 empty tables. Was told there would be a wait. Noticed one table was holding silverware trays??On a holiday?? Anyway got seated waited 10 minutes before waitress came to table. Ordered an app was told when the meal came out that they were out of the app?? Waitress passed the table 6 times saw the empty glass and did not ask if we wanted another. Bad waitressing. Watched her walk out and go back in 3 times with my order before bringing it to the table. Had the Sheppard's pie. Lousy too much rosemary and Luke warm. Also had the Reuben. Way over cooked. Meat was like shoe leather. Hardly any dressing. Another lousy dish. Will NEVER go back. Not a nice experience.
What a great little find! This restaurant is next door neighbors with my favorite coffee shop (Dublin3 so we decided to give it a try for dinner. The restaurant is modestly sized which gives it a very cozy feel. It has the stone work and exposed wood beams you hope to see in a downtown establishment and it's beautiful. The menu had a lot of variety, with a mix of Irish and American fare. There is also a wide price range available. Anything from steaks and pork chops to a $10 club sandwich. The star of the night was the fish and chips platter. The portion size was HUGE and every bite was delicious. They serve hand-cut style fries that are addictive and the platter came with a house version of tartar sauce that was a perfect pairing to the battered fish (and the fries! . I'm looking forward to my next visit already. I keep telling myself that I'll try something new from the menu but chances are great that I'll be revisiting that fish and chips platter again :
First time eating here and was pleasantly surprised. The seating was nice and sufficient for groups of four. I think we saw a private seating for groups? We saw a full bar with seating for probably 10-12. Two tv's. The price was very reasonable for this area and portion size was more than I expected for the price. We expected a full Irish menu but it seemed to be a mix of Irish and basic American. Only two steaks and no special fish dishes. We ordered the hummus platter appetizer- it was great and big enough for four to enjoy. We had the pork chop entree and shrimp and grits. They were both outstanding! Sides included Brussels sprouts and a sweet potato, both great. The only concern I had was the experience of the servers. Most seemed very young and new to the food service industry. For example, we had several water refills but they wouldn't take our used dishes away until we practically handed them to the waitress. The entree took a little longer than we would have liked but the manager ? recognized that and apologized, which was unexpected and appreciated. Also, alcohol is not allowed at the outdoor/sidewalk seating which was disappointing on such a nice summer evening. We parked in the pubic parking lot behind the businesses across the street. I'm not sure how that would effect business with older folks or physically impaired people because it a bit of a walk on gravel and pavers, no sidewalk. This is one of our top new downtown restaurants and we can't wait to go back with friends!
