Bidra med feedbackSometimes you're just craving a big greasy floppy slice of cheap pepperoni pizza and only your cardiologist will really fault you for that. It's a comfort food. Unfortunately this place only hits a few of those already low marks consistently. It's always greasy and pizza. It isn't cheap. Sometimes the crust is the perfection of thin crust pizza baking, but usually it is just hard as a rock if not burnt. Also, annoyingly, is the tendency for a slice of insert-topping pizza looking like a slice of cheese pizza. Nothing wrong with cheese pizza until you try to call it sausage pizza, folks. Menu offerings aside from pizza disappear despite appearing popular. Calzones were always in short supply while offered because they were good. Why stop selling one of the things you consistently did right? Service is done by students who generally appear to be on autopilot. It's functional, but sometimes can lead to further frustration with an already disappointing meal.
Crust is burntand way too much cheese. You cant even eat the slice without a knife and fork. This place is terrible and should be replaced.
Good place to get pizza in a pinch but definitely not a place worth stopping every day. The pizza though good, is quite greasy. They offer salads which is a nice alternative to the pizza. Prices are a okay.
I work on campus and eat here often. When it's good, it's good. When it's bad....oh boy. A few times I've walked in and all the pizzas have been burned to a black crisp, yet they're sitting there waiting to be sold as if it's all good. Their cheese bread also seems to change completely on a monthly basis; I assume because they just buy whatever is the cheapest at the time? The staff are always good and the price is right. They just desperately need some quality control!
Consistently inconsistent. The toppings vary, and the slice sizes are all over the place. It's always frustrating to receive a slice that’s half the size of the person in front or behind you, yet you pay the same amount. The cooking is also hit or miss—sometimes the pizza is undercooked, other times it’s burnt. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and only received 1.5 slices of pepperoni, while the person behind me had a slice loaded with 6-7 pieces. I've complained to management several times, but they seem indifferent. It’s clear that the staff are struggling with evenly cutting the pizza. One end of the crust is greasy and soggy, while the other is hard as a rock. It’s excessively greasy overall. The salads are a decent option, but they charge double the price of the pizza and have reduced the quality of the ingredients. Honestly, it’s just not worth it. College students are already on a budget, and this food is overpriced for what you get. I decided to give Urban Slice another shot after two years since my last review, and the only noticeable change seems to be the staff—perhaps the previous employees have graduated. Today, I ordered what they called a Veggie pizza, and this is what I received for $3.01. While the crust is somewhat better, I can’t say that the smaller slice and lack of veggies justify the price. Management really should take a hint from places like Costco—they have a simple tool that allows them to cut pizzas into equal-sized slices effortlessly.
