Bidra med feedbackAfter spending the morning at Pikes Peak in Manitou Springs, we stopped for lunch. The restaurant itself isn’t very upscale, but the food was quite good. Both my husband and I ordered the fried chicken, and everything was delicious. We especially loved the baked beans—they were fantastic!
The food here is excellent and made from scratch. We enjoyed both breakfast and lunch. The homemade cookies tasted just like Grandma's, and the buttermilk cake with blackberries was both homemade and delightful. The kids absolutely loved the hamburgers and the homemade fries. Highly recommended!
The food was excellent! The menu was simple, and the service was great. Definitely a 5-star experience!
A very happy accident. An incentive of the current decision to visit Pike's Peak on Sunday of Labor Day weekend turned out not the best thought-out plan we knew was a possibility. You can't live in Colorado and don't consider these things, can you? The line of traffic to the North Pole (to the reference I have no idea where the gate is, as we have never visited. Shameful for a Colorado native, right?! So we turned around to find food in Manitou Springs. There was a parking lot on their damaged, closed main road, right in front of the kitchen. Fortuitous or Divine intervention, I don't know, but yay!!! My understanding of another diner is that it is a man and woman team. He cooks, she looks like a modern day Rosie the Riveter. Okay, my golden tongue fails me. The food was so good. I'm a huge cookie and Gravy fan. I hesitate to have some places because... well, just because. I tried it here!!! Hands down the best B
Everything here is homemade and absolutely delicious They have the best mashed potatoes and meatloaf and greens I have ever eaten! The buttermilk pie is to die for!
