Imo's Pizza - Maplewood

Always a favorite, been in this town for a long time! Still the same great pizza over time!

I really love Imo's Pizza! There's no other pizza quite like it. The crust and cheese are unique and absolutely delicious. Don't expect much from the restaurant itself, but the pizza definitely makes up for it!

The pizza here is excellent, especially if you're a fan of provel cheese, which I really enjoy. However, it always seems a bit on the expensive side, so I often choose other places with a similar price range that offer pizzas I find to be a bit more appealing.

I just visited this location right before it closed. Unfortunately, the young African American woman with glasses at the register had a very unfriendly attitude, which was disappointing. I don’t think she’ll stay in her position for long with that kind of demeanor. However, Leah was a bright spot during my visit with her outstanding customer service. She truly made up for my negative experience, and I made sure to let her know. It was clear that she is genuinely a pleasant person. On top of that, the pizza was fresh and served quickly.

When I spoke with the manager, she mentioned that she needed to determine if I was just trying to get free food. No one had taken my name for the order, so there was no way to verify if it was indeed mine. She promised to issue a refund, but it was frustrating to be treated that way after I had been so patient and friendly. I’m quite taken aback by how poorly the situation was handled by the manager. While I understand that the initial mistakes weren't entirely her fault, it’s still disappointing to think that I paid for something I never received. It seems like even a small order was too much for them to manage correctly.
