Bidra med feedbackTasty, clean, quick. However, the 'happy hour ' margarita was not worth the $4.99, not by a long shot. Small glass of some premixed garb.
Great restaurant. Food, service, atmosphere, cleanliness. I recommend mole enchiladas:
Service was friendly and attentive and the place was nice and clean, and my Jarritos was delicious, but other than that I have nothing to say about my food. I got the Cinco de Mayo and was disappointed to see the chicken and steak that came out was like triple-ply TP thin. And it was all stacked in a way that I didn’t quite know what to do with it for a few minutes, aside from stare at my already paper-thin and cooked steak at the bottom of the stack, sizzling away some more in the hot stone bowl it came in. I forgot to snag a photo but someone already a posted the dish in the photo section, so check it out there. Other than the refried beans and rice which were decent, I can’t speak for the rest of the food, my wife and kids didn’t seem to mind.
This is the only place we have visited locally that offers predictable, excellent food every time. My favorite working-class Tex-Mex restaurant in Pittsburgh.
Beef burrito, chili plabano (not relleno), and beans were all good, above average. Service was attentive and friendly. Beer was cold. Not from around here, but nothing impressed me that would draw me back in on a return visit to Monroeville.
