Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Natchitoches

Conveniently located on the main road in Natchitoches. Large dining area. Our grilled meat plates were excellent. Variants for pages. Free ice cone for dessert. Friendly staff and fast service.

Second visit here. Very good BBQ and excellent service. Stopped at the location in Lafayette a few weeks ago and it was identical. Apparently Dickey's has some tight quality control and management.

The portion sizes for the price are somewhat disappointing, but seeing your meal being prepared with fresh ingredients is a nice touch. If it's your first time there, I recommend trying the brisket mac stack. I would advise against the tacos; they're surprisingly small for two dollars. The cook kindly warned me about their size, but I didn’t pay attention. Once you finish your meal, they offer complimentary vanilla ice cream near the well drinks. My friend made a Coke float and really enjoyed it.

On a positive note, my daughter's ribs were delicious, and even though I typically find a notch on the end rib, this time we received three ribs instead. I have to commend the owner, who was there and was extremely nice, professional, and friendly. The store was clean, the restrooms were tidy, and the food was tasty, just as Dickey's should be. However, I did find the portion sizes smaller than any of the Dickey's I've visited at least once a month. I'll definitely return, but I think I'll skip the tacos next time—unless you weigh only 65 pounds!

We had a fantastic experience at this grill! It was a lovely event, and after a long, hot day, we were really hungry. There wasn't much to choose from along the riverbank, but we discovered Dickies just outside of downtown. The food was delicious, and our whole family enjoyed it. We had a great time, and the restaurant wasn't too crowded, which made it even better. The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. Plus, the ice cone we had was a delightful treat!
