Grain Store - NEWCASTLE EAST

Love the place! My favourite craft beer venue in NSW, I 've happily driving past numerous other good venues to get to the Grain Store since the day it opened. Beers are always on point, knowledgable and friendly staff, great food, great atmosphere and a **** free zone. You cant get 'mainstream ' beer there though, but there is always a great indie beer for 'non-craft beer ' types, just ask the staff.

This is not just a beer lovers paradise, it's a place for families and serious beer connoisseurs to mix in the same venue without any issues. Their selection of wines and spirits is excellent, and the food is very good. The staff are also great very friendly and helpful. They have live music most weekend afternoons, and possibly nights (I'm usually there in the afternoon. All in all it's probably the best pub/ live entertainment venue in Newcastle. Well worth a visit.

The ribs and chicken wings are as good as I've had. The beer? ****!!!! This is a beer lovers good place. A ribs lovers good place. A chicken wings lovers good place. I dig this place. The staff are ace too.

The jewell of Newcastle’s East End. Amazing range of Aussie craft beer that turns over regularly, knowledgeable staff, surprisingly good whiskey list, great food, live music, unpretentious Newy atmosphere. If I could give it 6 stars I would!
