Bidra med feedbackAlthough they were busy, Our servers went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated. The food was hot and perfect portion sizes the desert was delicious. We found our new favorite Indian restaurant in Hampton roads, thanks Aago for a great experience.
Everything was excellent. Portion sizes were a lot larger than I expected. But that's a good thing. I had the lamb Tikka masala and samosas and garlic naan. The Tikka masala had plenty of lamb chunks in it. It was only my second time having a samosa and they were larger than some I had previously. But they were still delicious. Atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The server was patient with my brother and I as we were trying to figure out what to order. I do believe this will become my favorite restaurant and I look forward to trying out new items on the menu.
My wife and I have been enjoying Indian cuisine for several years now and Aago is our all time favorite. We are vegan and the wonderful staff has always gone out of their way to accommodate and make us feel invited and comfortable. Wonderful owners and staff who give tremendous customer service. The food is amazing and they have a wonderful selection of vegan and non vegan dishes. If you are looking for amazing and authentic Indian food, Aago is for you.
I had an incredible first visit to Aago! My server, Deepak, provided detailed explanations of the dishes and ingredients, demonstrating great knowledge of the menu. Speaking of the menu, it is quite extensive and even features a vegetarian section. I ordered the Fish Tikka, and the sauce was rich and bursting with flavor. The restaurant's atmosphere was welcoming, and everything was impeccably clean. I will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Aago to others!
We arrived around 6:30 PM and the restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated relatively quickly. It was my boyfriend's first experience with Indian cuisine, and I was genuinely excited for him to finally try it. I had never been to this restaurant before either, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I ordered the goat biryani, which was excellent; however, I regretted listening to the server, a middle-aged man with glasses, who 'warned' me about other customers complaining that the spice levels were 'too hot.' I really enjoy my food spicy, so I wished I had chosen level 5 instead of the level 4 he insisted on. That said, the dish was very aromatic and flavorful, and there was a generous portion of goat meat, though the $18 price felt a bit high for the serving size. I would consider returning but would request a different section to avoid the same server. A note for future diners: our food took about 38 minutes to arrive, so be prepared for a long wait. They do offer some complimentary appetizers—crackers with a tamarind-chili dip and pickled onions—which was a nice touch.
