Boston Common Restaurant - Oakville

My husband and I had a gift certificate for Boston Common, so we decided to try their brunch offerings.

I went to dinner with my parents on Friday at this restaurant for the first time and I was not disappointed. The fish was delicious, always served fresh and hot. I will definitely be returning.

We went to the Father's Day Brunch in 2017 and it was a complete waste of both money and time. Most of the food and juice were gone, with only one type of cereal left. Clean glasses were also hard to come by. We had to wait a long time for the food to be replenished, and the whole experience felt disorganized and inefficient. It's disappointing considering the restaurant is well-established with experienced staff. Overall, it was not a pleasant way to spend Father's Day.

Quick friendly service and a good breakfast too. My wife loves there BLT and I enjoy their everything omelet.

It's the kind of place that needs a really good scrub down and some updating. Everything was covered in a sticky film. They are not licensed for alcohol, so no beer with your fish and chips folks. My parents don't eat meat on Wednesday's and Friday's and it was their 42nd anniversary. Served in plastic glasses and no alcohol for a restaurant was itself an experience to be remembered. The food itself was ok nothing fancy or exciting to the palate, but when the place is packed with old people, they've got it right. Reasonable prices, bland food, plastic glasses and a nice server, a 3/5 at best. The fried fish however has been the best in the area that we've found, maybe Friday would be the best night to go. All you can eat Fish Friday's.
