Bidra med feedbackOnly with the best bartender, manager, and owner, Dan! We came to try the wings and they were amazing. Perfect crispy and the best price round. Dan was super chilly, responsive and just a great around bartender. Even at the end of the evening we sat with us to catch up. Can't wait to come back!!
This place is consistently delicious with a great atmosphere. Bartender Dan is so friendly and personal. The prices are competitive for the other spots in the area, but the wings at the wing night are the cheapest around. Very recommended!
Good first time visit recently. Was highly rated online for the Pittsburgh salad, so we decided to give L&I a try. For an appetizer, we got the dip (called Grandpa or Pappy?s dip or something- sorry I forgot the name) which is one of their specialties. If I remember, it had sausage and cheese and it was delicious- would highly recommend. My husband got a sausage pizza and I got the Pittsburgh salad. Their pizza has a nice soft dough with a sweet sauce- we both really liked it. Their ranch dressing is delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my salad and though it looks small-moderate in size, it was actually a really deep bowl and much too large for me to finish. The chicken on it was really nice and the fries were good. A good Pittsburgh salad, but not the best I?ve had. I would appreciate some croutons on top in addition. The service was friendly and prompt. The decor is a little? stark? but fine for the type of venue. Overall, a recommend!
Food was alright, service I try not to judge too harshly because places get busy and overwhelmed. But we were seated for quite a while before getting drinks or putting in an order. Both myself and my boyfriend considered the food to be pretty ordinary. I got a steak sandwich (which was kind of fatty and smothered in uncooked peppers and onions) and he got a grilled chicken sandwich (which was seasoned well but slightly over cooked and dry), and both got fries, which were okay but under seasoned and probably taken out of the fryer a touch too early. We did start with the onion rings and they were probably the best thing we ordered. Also I was not aware how much of a bar atmosphere there would be. Maybe part of the issue was the hockey game (which neither of us follow and didn?t know would be on), but it came on after we got our appetizer and barely heard anything each other said until we left. I?m not holding that against the staff but it did negatively impact our experience. In response to the owner: I did intend to speak with someone, but because of the busy restaurant, our server mostly dropped our stuff off and kept moving. I wasn?t really able to ask for someone to speak with. I did see who I assume was a manager stopping at tables to check in, but our table was never visited. In regards to the volume, we did sit on the restaurant side, but it was still very loud, most likely because with the setup/size of the restaurant, you?re unable to put any type of barrier up to muffle the sound (which again, I understand).
So we took my parents there for the first time. Super packed. Awesome staff. But they really should have brought the food out as it was being prepared so that we were served hot food, hot fries and hot onion rings would have been perfect. Unfortunately the onion rings are flavorless there's too much batter. Good fries. Good barbecue pork, can't say much more since Southern BBQ is now my new favorite. But the real reason we went was for the pizza. The pictures online were fabulous the smell was awesome The taste was pretty darn good but the pizza was way too greasy. Will definitely try again.
