Bidra med feedbackThis coffee shop is fantastic! They have a great variety of pastries and all the classic coffee and espresso drinks. However, the standout today was a unique special: a 'Pineapple Espresso.' It tasted like a delicious iced latte sweetened with pineapple—light in calories but full of flavor. The cinnamon bun was wonderfully airy and flaky, which was amazing. I'm definitely going back!
The restaurant offers high-top seating on the lower level and both high-top and low-top seating on the upper level. There's free WiFi available, and the staff is friendly and attentive. A small hot mocha costs $4.50. The atmosphere is often filled with college students and young professionals who are spending time on their laptops. While the service might be a bit slow, it reflects their commitment to carefully crafting each drink.
I only visited the location on Drexel's campus at 32nd and Chestnut. I haven't tried the espresso by itself, just the cappuccino and espresso macchiato. The coffee has a sour taste, which is common in many places in Philly. However, the milk balances it out nicely. It’s a great spot for a quiet, relaxed café atmosphere, perfect for working on class assignments or meeting up with friends.
Love this place. Good atmosphere, great sort of nutty flavor in their beans, plus the seasonal offerings are always fantastic (I miss you Pumpkin Pie Latte) and they have Oat Milk! Never had a bad cup of Joe at Joe. They carry Dotties Donuts and other vegan treat options to if you are like me and dairy hates you. They're all sweet and delicious and go well with the coffee. Anyway to sum this up, it's always been a good experience when I go there to have espresso and do some work out of the house.
Stopped here to kill time before a business lunch. If the college scene isn't your thing steer clear, but the coffee is amazing so probably worth a visit even if you can't tolerate being around hippie college kids. I enjoyed my latte and the people watching!
