Bidra med feedbackThe food was outstanding. On Sundays, they offer a wonderful variety of breakfast, lunch, and brunch options. The atmosphere is lovely, as the restaurant is housed in an old mansion. Parking can be a bit challenging, and it took about an hour from when we walked in the door to when our food finally arrived. However, the menu choices are sure to satisfy even the pickiest eaters. I also enjoyed the music!
When we were finally seated, the atmosphere was a blend of lounge and dining space, and it looked just as appealing as the website promised. There was a DJ playing great music, and the upstairs area had a nightclub vibe. Now let's talk about the food—it's hands down the best soul food I've ever had in the Tri-State area. The seasonings were spot on, and the portions were generous. We were pleasantly surprised by the muffins; they had a unique twist and were absolutely delicious. I definitely plan to return just to try the dessert, as we were all too full to indulge this time, but we did save some to take home. The drink menu was fantastic and reasonably priced, making for an amazing Valentine's dinner experience.
This restaurant offered it all! The food was fantastic, the portions were generous, the staff was amazing, and the modern atmosphere was impressive. Plus, the playlist was excellent! I highly recommend this place for couples or groups. The eggs were perfectly soft and fluffy, the chicken was seasoned just right—neither bland nor overpowering—and the greens were delightful. The waffles were also very good.
Great service, the staff was attentive and the food had a fantastic homemade taste and feel to it. The restaurant was large enough to give everyone space, yet cozy and intimate enough to still have an engaging conversation. I had a piece of frosted pound cake that had threw perfect balance of flavor and moistness. Wish I tried it before I got back to my hotel room, I would have ordered another slice.
On a Saturday (you better get here early), I took my BFF and daughter here for the first time, We waited 2 hours before finally getting our table. I've been here before to eat, so I knew it was worth the wait! They both agreed it was worth the wait, they loved the food, everything we ordered was so damn good. It was also such a coincidence that our waitress name was August, which is my youngest daughter's name Best place to get Soul Food, good music and tasty drinks. I Ms. Tootsie's
