Trattoria Da Nello

Visited this restaurant right after tasting wine at Le Strie. Their signature dishes, a buckwheat/wheat pasta with cheese, potatoes and Swiss chard (Pizzocherri) and a fried cheese (schiatt) are not to be missed.

Siamo venuti in questo ristorante consigliato dai colleghi. Il posto è difficile da trovare se è la prima volta che ci vai. L'atmosfera è molto rustica, come tanti anni fa. Abbiamo assaggiato i pizzoccheri appena fatti, davvero squisiti. Il personale è molto cordiale; ci hanno offerto anche gli sciatt ma abbiamo dovuto rifiutare a causa dell'abbondanza della porzione precedente.Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è molto buono!

Old fashioned, simple trattoria, well worth a visit if you are in Valtellina. Few, traditional local dishes, plentiful servings at a reasonable price. Too bad desserts are factory-produced from a mass Italian brand. Of the two obvious must-try local recipes, we found sciatt very, very good: eìwell cooked, tasty and blissfully well fried. Pizzocchery were quite good, dullish in taste, with too little cabbages and butter, too much potatoes for my taste. Hope to have a chance to try again.

Pizzoccheri and Sciatt quite good. Simple place. The lady in charge of table service was really kind and nice.
