Asia Garden Restaurant - Port Alberni

During our visit, we ordered 7 items off the menu for 5 people and everyone was happy with the good quality. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated in a classical Chinese theme. The staff was friendly, kept our drinks filled, and didn't crowd us. The server was also very helpful when we needed to change our orders due to allergies. Asia Garden offers both Chinese Cantonese items and several kid-friendly options. If you're in a rush, it's best to go elsewhere as the food here is freshly made and definitely worth the wait. Nobody wants to pay for unwanted takeout or eat cold, dry food that has been sitting on a buffet for hours. Overall, if you prefer fresh and mouth-watering food, Asia Garden is the place to go. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for a terrific meal!

I was delighted to discover this hidden gem in Port Alberni. We decided to try the Thai menu and were not disappointed. The pad thai and red curry beef were delicious, and the golden tofu had a great flavor. The restaurant was immaculate and clean, with beautifully done renovations. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

We had a great experience at this restaurant! It was very clean and we tried multiple dishes, including two Thai curries, Pad Thai, chicken fried noodles, pan-fried dumplings, BBQ wonton soup, and chicken with chilies. Everything was delicious, especially the chicken fried noodles and the soup. I highly recommend this spot!

Not bad for a small town. Nice to see some Thai dishes on offer as this town is overrun with terrible Chinese food. We had the golden tofu, huge deluxe wor wonton soup and the Thai red curry with beef with coconut milk rice. Soup was ok broth was totally blah but had decent enough wontons, nice big shrimp, a few char siu pork pieces, some weird overcooked chicken and veggies. Golden tofu was HOT, super crispy and delicious. Red curry was supposed to be medium spicy but I was able to handle a few ladlefuls and I am extremely sensitive to heat. Overall it was decent and we would go again. Te server was nice and had a bit of trouble with English but that's how you know it's authentic!! For all the dishes listed above plus a pot of tea it came to $50 including tax and a 15% tip. I'd encourage people to give it a shot!

This is the best Chinese Thai restaurant in Port Alberni. Food is always excellent and served hot. Husband and wife team operation. Ivy is so friendly. We've taken many visitors and they have all been impressed even when we arrived 10 minutes before closing for a take out order: no problem!
