Fairways Tavern - Poultney

Only had appetizers in our party and they were diverse, varied and delicious! Great place to also get locally brewed beer. Clean, pleasant and friendly staff.

We went through and landed in town on Friday night. The place was full and bouncing. We sat back in the kitchen. A little loud at times, with the guys who bark over the status of commands. Very impressive. You made it hard to stop things. It is a typical Brawpub feeling. A bit of industrial, very open and many breweries on the walls. We had great service considering the circumstances and considering the way the rest of the servers seemed to work, all the others too. I had a few Head Doctors. A little hopper than I like, but not too much to stop me from drinking more. The pizza was okay. The crust seemed to be somewhat undercut, but this could be due to the volume of the cartridges. The sauce is sweet that caught us from the guard. All in all, it is a beautiful Braupub in a beautiful NE city.

Went to Hop'n Moose a few months ago when we were in Rutland and really enjoyed their Rutland Raider pizza! A combination of sliced apple, cheddar cheese, smoked bacon on a garlic base with a pine horn syrup nozzle. We were back this week in Rutland and had to get the Rutland Raider the same big taste. Our only disappointment is that we ordered 2 and took 1 home with us!!

What a fantastic spot! The beer was outstanding, particularly the Rutland Red, which is easily one of the best Amber Ales I’ve ever tasted. Although fire-roasted pizzas seem to be the main attraction here, we opted for burgers, and it was definitely the right choice! The burgers were cooked to perfection, boasting a wonderfully crispy crust—truly the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere of the place is really cool, with a warm and welcoming vibe. From the moment we walked in, everyone was cheerful and accommodating. Liam, our waiter, was exceptional—always available when we needed him and quick to suggest options when we were unsure. This was an all-around fantastic experience, and Hop'n Moose will definitely be our first stop the next time we’re in Rutland. Cheers!

One of the best burgers I've ever tasted! This place is also well-known for its pizza and beer. They offer an impressive variety of unique beers, and their maple beer was absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent, and the decor was lovely. If you're in Rutland, this spot is a must-visit!
