Bidra med feedbackI was BLOWN AWAY by my experience at Casa Tequila. I can't believe I've lived here nearly three years and never tried them out, but I'll be back soon! I had been wandering Gravois from Christy all the way up to Taft, trying to find lunch on a Sunday--but nearly every restaurant was closed! I was happy to see Casa Tequila open, as I'd been wanting to try their food. To begin with, their chips and salsa were the best I've ever had! Thin, crispy, salty, fresh chips and perfectly balanced salsa. I had to force myself to slow down, since I'd ordered a shrimp chimichanga, and I was very glad I saved room. The chimichanga was full of shrimp, cheese, peppers, and onions, on a very tasty tortilla. A separate plate came with beans, rice, lettuce, guac, and sour cream. My server was incredibly efficient, going effortlessly from Spanish to English as he went table to table. Everything came out quickly and tasted fresh. The restroom was clean and well-stocked, and another part of the restaurant was decorated in advance of a birthday party later that day. There's also an area set up for karaoke. The restaurant stayed steadily busy while I was there, and I see why!
Food was so delicious. My family of 5 all ordered seafood and it was by far better than the other local seafood restaurants. They have a variety of food. Owner is very friendly as well! We will be back!
I ordered the Special Burrito Chilango through Post Mates. I am allergic to tomatoes but I love Mexican food, so I was happy to find an item on the menu without them. Unfortunately, when it arrived, there were tomatoes on top pressed into the cheese sauce and imbedded in the wrap. I managed to scrape and cut them off, but then I found more tomatoes inside the burrito. I picked the whole thing apart and managed to eat some of the filling that wasn't touching tomatoes. I also found corn and peppers inside that are not listed in the description. It taste fine but the steak was gristly. If I order again, I will add food restrictions in the notes, but I hope they update their menu descriptions.
Awesome food and service. Clean place and easy location. The menu is more expanded than other Mexican restaurants around the area. If you like seafood check it out. That said I hate seafood but if its anything like their other options you can't be disappointed. Margaritas run pretty sweet. Order accordingly.
Came around dinner time Sunday evening and it was absolutely no one in there (made me a little suspicious). Sat down and took about 5mins for someone to acknowledge and give us a menu (guy to busy playing on slots). Ordered some tacos and margaritas. The tacos were sooooo good !!! Their chips and salsa was good. The drinks were not that strong. I got the large and didn?t feel anything afterwards ????. After we received our food and drinks the waitress disappeared for a good 20 mins. We were ready to go and waiting till he came back to check us out. The customer service sucks to say the least, food is good so I?ll probably order takeout for the tacos but won?t be back in. He also charged me extra for my drinks where I was supposed to (that came out their tip)
