SeaSide Restaurant - Salt Spring Island

This was recommended as being a child friendly place to go, so we thought we'd try it. Won't go back again. $8 for pasta

I came here as it was recommended by staff at the staff at the visitor center. Reservations were recommended as it isnt't very large and the inside of the restaurant is quite warm. We were seated quickly but I had to flag someone down to take our order after waiting for quite some time. I opted for the halibut and chips which ended up being more filling than it looked. The crab cakes with aioli were also good. The only thing that keeps this from being a "very good" was the lengthy wait before someone came to take our order. Maybe it was just am excessively busy day? I'm not. But I can definitely say the halibut was worth the wait.

Just loved the food, the cleanliness and simplicity of the place, and the friendly and efficient service.

The seafood is fresh and tastes quite good but for $35 with a beer and tip, I'm not sold. The portions were quite small and although the view is amazing, the overall experience was average. The restaurant is suited for older couples looking to have a nice drink and appy on the patio in my opinion.Ps If you go in the summer time and don't make a reservation, you will not get a seat. It's quite popular since it is right beside the ferry terminal.

We went there for dinner on Saturday July 22nd/17 and had a very lovely dinner. The view from the restaurant is lovely as you are dinning. They also have a patio to have ones food also. Staff are friendly and food is fresh. I had the seafood dinner, which was lovely and my wife had the breaded prawns of which you received 8 large prawns that came with Fries or combo of fries and salad. I suggest to make a reservation during the weekends in the summer months
