Inn At East Beach - Santa Barbara

As others have mentioned, the hotel is a bit old and could use some updates, but it was still clean. The room was a good size, although it didn't have air conditioning, so I had to keep the windows open and use fans. Since it was summer, the room got quite warm until late in the evening. I could hear my neighbors, but fortunately, they kept quiet after 10 PM. Just a heads up, there are quite a few stairs, which adds to the charming retro ambiance, but could be challenging for anyone who has trouble with stairs. I wouldn’t be able to bring my parents here. Overall, it’s a nice, clean retro hotel, and I would definitely stay again.

I'm puzzled by the number of negative reviews for this place. My room was spotless, and we had a great stay. I would definitely recommend this location.

I would describe the overall vibe of this place as retro, and for our family of three, it was fantastic! We stayed in the king suite, which featured a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious living area for my toddler to play in. There was also a tub/shower for him, which was a nice touch. The pool, while small, was clean, and all the other residents we encountered were friendly. Plus, they have pool noodles available for guests to use! The front desk staff were courteous, even during the busy 4 PM check-in rush. Paying for parking was a reasonable option since the area tends to get crowded, and many attractions—including the beach, playgrounds, zoo, park, and restaurants—are within walking distance. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Clean And friendly 50’s style motel perked up with some nice retro designer elements and nice location close to beach. Our room was quite noisy from the freeway, Wi-Fi was very slow, hot water was inconsistent, and breakfast was average at best (microwaveable sausage,egg, cheese biscuits, breakfast burrito, pre packaged muffins and banana bread, oatmeal cups, cereal, fruit, and milk, coffee, and juices).

Great location near the beach, fairly quiet. But that’s about it. Slow wifi, no A/C, old mattress, crusty towels, no amenities in the room. The light bulbs have an awful blue tint, windows aren’t very secure, and they charge an extra $15 for parking.
