Bidra med feedbackRestaurant was difficult to find as it is inside the Hilton. I entered where the sign hung and found myself at the check-in desk. Stopped to ask someone (who turned out to be a restaurant worker) asked him if he know where it was and showed him the name. Long story short, the second person he took me too looked at where I wanted to go and told him it was his restaurant!! The only one in the restaurant and it took a long time for the pricey meal to arrive, it was overcooked. Ambiance was ok. Not going back.
My wife and I stopped in for Breakfast today. The server was very nice and did a good job. She had a mask on which is fine with us, but I would suggest not touching it with your hands and then handling food constantly. We ordered an egg white omelette and ask only a little cheese be put inside. It was flooded with cheese and butter. We should have said no butter, but we didn’t. Just average no imagination breakfast. You expect more from St. Augustine restaurants. On a more positive note, the coffee was great.
Had dinner here with a group of friends the other night and was pleasantly surprised the atmosphere isn't much to speak of however that is well offset by both the service the staff and the cuisine. I had the blue crab cobbler as an appetizer along with toast points it was quite tasty. The beef short rib Ragu is also outstanding. Other dishes that rank right up there are the paella, the frenched chicken, the filet and the rigatoni. Seems you can't go wrong here. The wait staff is friendly attentive courteous and always Johnny-on-the-spot. Try it I think you'll like it.UPDATED: 7/22/22. They now have an extensive steak menu that rivals any fine steakhouse although you best prepare yourself for the increased prices.UPDATED 1/23/24. Ordered the pork chop and while I asked for medium rare it leaned A LOT more towards rare had a significant amount sinew, grizzle and fat and was quite difficult to cut. Not my best meal here. They also seemed to be a bit understaffed as one waiter was handling all the tables. He was a nice enough guy, quite pleasant, however I had to get up and go to the bar to get a refill cocktail we also ran out of water. Parking: Parking is by valet
We were going to eat here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We did not realize this was just a small restaurant part of the hotel lobby. Upon arrival we were nicely greeted and sat at our reserved table. But shortly after we realized this was not the ambience we were hoping for, especially for a fine dining experience. My boyfriend and I love to fine dine. The server passed us off to the bartender after greeting us so he could go home. Then when the bartender came over we kindly let him know we were going to leave. No reason necessary. He immediately suggests that we could get the family style meals to share. Seemingly assuming we could not afford to eat there and that’s why we were leaving. A little unprofessional for a high end place. Not sure we will ever try this restaurant.
Went for Christmas buffet for 6pm seating. Choices were good but Hot food wasn't hot, service was good. Got flat soda but they replaced that. They had prime rib, turkey and lamb. It would have been nicer to have a carving station. 25% tip added to the bill for a buffet is a bit high. Some of the food tasted like it was cooked earlier in the day. I expected better for the price we paid.
