Bidra med feedbackThis place has a fantastic location for a barbecue spot. The staff is incredibly friendly, and you can enjoy beautiful park views from their terrace. The highlight of my meal was the drawn pork; as a Texan, I can say it's as good as anything I've had back home. The beans were delicious, with just the right amount of spice. I have to agree with others that the meat had a bit of an off texture; it was more like pot roast than brisket. Perhaps I just got a less than ideal cut, but I think next time I’ll stick to the pork instead!
Omg! I tried the slider sampler about 2 months ago, which I thought about since the day I went through sligo creek pkwy. you will get 3 options: pork, bark and chicken and BBQ sauce on the side pulled. two words: juicy aromen. wait! I sounded like gordon ramsay! I'm from the middle west, so I know good bbq when I taste it! I hear it's only at the weekend place, so I'll go back during the weekday, as I did when I found it by chance. delish!
The smoked ribs are expertly done, with a well-balanced blend of spices that add just the right amount of kick. The large ribs are a great deal at $3 for a pair. The pulled pork sandwich is piled high with tender, moist shredded pork. However, the brisket sandwich, while also generously portioned, contains overcooked meat with some burnt edges. There are two types of BBQ sauce available: a Carolina-style sauce and a mildly sweet tomato-based sauce.
Try the slider sample to get each of the meats. the sides are cheap and they give them generous portions. the children loved the Mac cheese. the bbq pits are decorated like a train! they also have Jumbo-sized stack blocks / jenga, and kornloch. solid spot directly at the Sligo-Breek-Trail to foot / run / bike too.
I was really excited to discover this place nearby. The exterior is charming and creates a nice beer garden atmosphere. Inside feels a bit like a trailer, which could work well for a lunch spot. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I ordered some BBQ to take home for dinner. Unfortunately, the coleslaw had too much mayo for my liking, and while the meats were decent, they weren't exceptional—the ribs were particularly tough. I wish I could give a more positive review.
