Tropics Ice Cream Jerk - Silver Spring

I ordered six chicken wings, and they were really disappointing. They were dry and had too much skin. The mashed potatoes and peas were also dry and hard. I wish I had played it safe with my choice.

This place deserves five stars just for their ginger-flavored ice! Their selection of authentic Western Indian flavors is outstanding and not the typical offerings you find everywhere else. I make a point to come here whenever I'm nearby. They also serve other authentic dishes, like saltfish patties and beef patties. However, be careful when parking, especially if you're getting the ginger and guava ice; it can be tricky. Sometimes you have to navigate the traffic to get out, so it's best to play it safe and make a U-turn!

While I enjoyed the tropical fruity notes, I have to say that the actual taste of the fruits was surprisingly absent in the ice cream. The manufacturer is based in Rockville, Maryland, and adds a hint of exotic flavors, but it didn’t fully deliver on the authentic fruit taste we were hoping for. We discovered this ice cream shop right after returning from our trip to Miami, where we had been craving Soursop juice and were excited to find something that could remind us of it. Unfortunately, the flavors didn’t quite live up to our nostalgia. The Guava blended in a way that reminded me of jam, but again, it didn’t resemble the fresh fruit as much as I expected. On a positive note, they do have a decent beef patty that we tried as well. Overall, while the ice cream offered a nice tropical twist, it fell short in terms of capturing the true essence of the fruits.

Best coconut ice cream and milk shakes is always super good and thick! and I always get the beef patents make them make sure they try every taste?
