Flannel - STOWE

Very well prepared food with fresh ingredients. The arugula berry salad was the least impressive. Striped bass was very fresh and well prepared and delicious. Some of the plating was a little dated, but overall quality was excellent. Our server was unobtrusive and professional, but not overly friendly.There are windows to a view opposite an open kitchen. There is also a nice bar. It was not boisterous or dull and we could easily carry on a conversation. A shorter two person table would have been better. It felt a little too far for an intimate meal.This place is expensive. I would like to try some other places in Stowe to compare.

There were no tables available at this restaurant. How can you really enjoy the experience?

This review is for breakfast since we were too full to consider dinner. We arrived early to enjoy our meal before it got too late. The eggs were delicious, the home fries were great, and the sausages were as sweet as honeydew. Our server, Lynn, was wonderful and made us feel right at home as she poured coffee for us. Since we got there early, the crowd was light, allowing us to savor our stay and the lovely breakfast view. In the distance, Mount Mansfield seemed to beckon us, and we knew we’d soon be slipping and sliding down the slopes without any delay.
