The Shack Bbq - Talladega

This restaurant is fantastic! It truly lives up to its name and is one of the best grills in the area. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, and onion rings. The onion rings are beer-battered and always deliver exceptional flavor. The baked beans are wonderfully savory with just a hint of sweetness. The sandwich is the highlight of the meal—made with high-quality meat piled high, adorned with just the right amount of barbecue sauce, and complemented by crispy pickles. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, but I wouldn't recommend going back to work right after, as you might end up dozing off if you do!

The ribs were tasty, and the baked beans were excellent, but the lemonade was simply fantastic! The staff were friendly and eager to ensure a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I definitely plan to come back!

I don't usually keep track of barbecue places because there are so many, but this one near Talladega gets a huge number of orders during race weekends. Even if it weren't race season, the ribs here are amazing! There's a gas station in Hattiesburg called Rose's that I always visit when I'm in town, and I used to think their grill was the best. However, I believe the Shack is just as good, if not better! You should definitely give it a try!

Great food! Nice staff. Yup, the place looks like a temple and that's why we chose it. Can I recommend the half and half plate 1/2 rib, 1/2 cut pig.

We decided to go try the shack‘s outside barbecue. I ordered the barbecue salad which was good, but I forgot to tell Wendy outside sliced so I received chopped. My husband ordered the outside sliced barbecue sandwich and he was very pleased. He said it was excellent. He was very pleased with the sandwich, but the crinkle fries were not up to the same standard as the BBQ. We will definitely be back as we enjoyed the food and meeting Wendy and Michael. The only reason we didn’t rate five stars was the fries.
