Alter Ego - Tallinn

Good service, but paella did not meet our expectations. We ordered scallops and tuna tataki for appetisers, we can definitely recommend the tuna. It was cooked very nice and tender. Scallops were meh. For main course we took the traditional catalonian paella, but we were very disappointed. It did not have the paella flavour we were looking for all we could taste were tomato and paprika. The service was really good, the waitress took great care of us and was calm and welcoming.

Delicious food and wonderful surroundings. There is a children’s playground nearby, very convenient if you are visiting Tallinn with children. Especially great in the summer. Service is friendly but could be a little faster. A step from the old historic center. Half way from the old town to the port to Helsinki.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tallinn. There's a beautiful fashion design, WiFi, terrace in summer, nice Spanish cuisine with food design and wines. A bit expensive but it worth it. Friendly English speaking staff. There's no parking.

Not sure that some of the negative reviews, the food was fantastic. Had a strawberry margarita, scallop-cauliflower sauce starter, venison with mushroom sauce for main, and dessert (Creme Catalana and we were blown away with taste and presentation. Right with restaurants we visited in Canada. Service was very friendly and efficient. You get what you insert: favorite part is how the waitress does not ask you every 2 minutes how you do in North America, and let us your dune in peace. If you need it, it is very available and attentive. If you are in quality, creative food with a cozy, upscale and yet relaxed atmosphere, you will love it. Will definitely be back.
