Bidra med feedbackThe first time here and must say... You have GOT to try this place!!!! The food is so delicious and the portions are great! I recommend trying Mom's Omelette!! The service was on site and always your utensils in a bag to boots, in my book, speaks volume. If you want to cook at home taste and feel that is definitely one of these points!
It's nice place, great staff, food is good. Kids meals are priced good, but not enough fries for the kids. My husband got a philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries. He said it was good. I got the regular sized chicken pot pie, it's a lot. The chicken pot pie is not creamy/milk sauce, it's thicken broth sauce, so the pot pie was a thick chicken soup with a crust. It needed a little salt and pepper but it was good.
This place isn't too far from my home so I find myself here every few weeks or so. The menu is filled of classic breakfast and lunch favorites and somethings done with a twist. Last time we got the chicken andwaffles, avocado toast, chicken biscuit an omelette. Service was speedy, food was tasty.
I was so impressed with my first visit, that I ended up going back again the next day. There are a couple dinners in the area, but Metro Diner definitely stands out. They have a great 60 's styled interior. From the checkerboard floor tiles, to the wall art and the kitchen view bar chrome seats, you are put in the mood for a true diner experience. Unlike other dinners I 've been to, Metro is quite spacious and very well laid out, allowing the staff easy access to the patrons. And they have a LOT of staff, which is great because it seems to get pretty crowded. So the 1st time I visited, I had to try the chicken and waffles, which is a half chicken and a whole waffle, both cut to manageable sizes. The waffle is served with strawberry butter, which I never heard of before, but now I 'm a huge fan. Our waitress Jasmine (Jazz, with the eyes) even made a special sauce of maple syrup and hot sauce, which was pretty good. The food came out very quickly and was piping hot. The chicken was fried perfectly, crispy on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside. The seasoning from the chicken was perfectly complemented by the crunch of the waffle and the sweetness of the butter. I couldn 't eat all of it at once, so I decided to be nice and share. On my second trip, I tried the go to test IMO: The Reuben. Again, they did not disappoint. The rye was flavorful and toasted, which stopped it from getting soggy from of the delicious juiciness in the sandwich. The corned beef was perfectly sliced and piled on high. The right amount of fat and lean in all the right places. My folks had the chowder and enjoyed it. I think they were expecting Boston Clam Chowder though and not Manhattan. I can pretty much guarantee that we will be back soon. There 's so much on the menu that looks amazing, and I plan to try them all. If you 're in the area and looking for some home cooked goodness, now you know where to find it.
I've been to all 3 locations and I like all 3 diners. I love how the managers walk around and talk to the customers. Small gestures like that I make a mental note of when it comes to customer service. The food is always good!
