Bidra med feedbackMy wife and I have been exploring all the new restaurants in Connecticut, and A'vert came highly recommended. It did not disappoint! Our waiter was very polite and incredibly helpful with the menu, especially with some of the more challenging French pronunciations. He was friendly and welcoming, never snobbish at all. The food was outstanding—without a doubt, some of the best I've had in Connecticut. I ordered the braised short rib, which was so tender that I could cut it with just a fork. The au jus was light yet flavorful, perfectly enhancing the delicious beef and complementing the bed of fingerling potatoes. For dessert, we had a delightful chocolate crème that blended the rich flavors of fudge and pudding beautifully. The wine selection was excellent as well; we sampled a Rosé and a Pinot Gris from the Rhône and Alsace, respectively, and they were both satisfying. The atmosphere was enchanting, with decor that made my wife and me feel like we were on vacation in Europe rather than in West Hartford. We will definitely be returning and recommending A'vert to our friends! Bon appétit!
Incredible! From the decor to the ambiance, to the hospitality and the food—which was nothing short of perfection—this restaurant truly stands out as the best. I was fortunate enough to attend their French Connection dinner this week, and it was the most amazing experience I've ever had. The food was so exceptional that we asked the chef to come to our table just to express our gratitude and to ask how he was able to create such culinary perfection. He was humble and gracious, with a warm smile. The owner also made the rounds, greeting guests personally. The attention to detail was impeccable—ranging from the friendliness of the waitstaff to the beautiful decor, and especially, the exquisite food. I can’t wait to return. Thank you for an unforgettable evening!
I met a friend there tonight for my first visit, and it was fantastic. The bar service was outstanding; the beer was served ice-cold in a frosted glass, which was just perfect. I ordered the hanger steak and fries, and it was cooked to perfection. The fries were quite salty, but I expected that and enjoyed it. The salad looked wonderful, and the crème brûlée was delicious. Overall, it’s an excellent restaurant, and I highly recommend it!
A wonderful place to grab a nice lunch. Reminds me of some of the good Brasseries I've gone to in Geneva. The wait staff, especially Noel, are attentive and amazing. Food comes out quickly and is absolutely delicious. This is a must go place for lunch and I hope to be back for dinner soon.
My friend I came for happy hour and it was great. I ordered a French 75 which was good. She had a Kit Royale and enjoyed it..We ordered the escargot, baked Brie, truffle fries with aioli, mussels carmelized onion dip with chips. Everything was delicious. And to end it all I ordered the chocolate mousse dome which was amazing. She had the chocolate pot de creme and loved it.. Definitely will be returning soon..
