(tfs) The Filling Station Burger Works

I've lived in Rockland for 30 years and driven by this place countless times. I've heard it had good reviews, but only this week, finally, spontaneously decided to pull over for a bite. Best decision ever. The burgers were delicious, juicy, flavorful. Even the onion rings were great. Definitely slapping myself for not coming here sooner.

BEST burger I've had in a long time. Even the bread with the sesame coating was GREAT! My daughter I both had the TFS. W/ fries; Regular Sweet Potato. What surprised me the most was their ICE CREAM!! OMG, Extremely creamy! My daughter had chocolate I just had to try the Almond Joy (coconut ice cream with almonds chocolate pieces) Good thing we did a long hike before coming here! Great staff too! Friendly attentive. Clean establishment. VERY Cool place. Definitely coming back!

Wife and I, one of our favorite places for a fast bite, where it is a refueling station that is re-used as a food ice cream. nothing nice. no great choice on the menu, but whatever they have is good dirty eating.

Best Burgers in the region!! Meat mix (steak, brisket, etc.). Always cooked for perfection. Add-ons are plentiful and equally well prepared to order. Pages are fantastic, including some of the best Fritten EVER! Everyone said a treasure of a stop.

The reason I am contacting is because on Saturday August 20, 2022 I ordered lunch which included a well done burger. When I received the order the burger was not well done. I went to the person working the front and asked if the burger can be redone. I want back to my seat and a few minutes later the worker approached me and said the burger can?t be redone because ?that?s not how it works?. I asked what he meant and he said the best they can do is take the burger out of the bun (which it also had toppings on like cheese and ketchup) and put it back on the grill. I said that was not acceptable. I had already taken a bite from it that it?s not sanitary and the worker responded how is that not sanitary. At that point I realized that there was no use arguing. I asked for a manager and was told she wasn?t in. I asked if someone can be called and he said no. This is a disgrace that one of the few places in Haverstraw to have a good burger is being run like this. The result the worker said was the best they can do is refund my entire order and then I repurchase omitting the burger. This would have been unnecessary if they would have just remade the burger how it was ordered. I?m very disappointed.
