Bidra med feedbackI had lunch at the cafe, which was excellent, and then participated in the Native spice workshop. I tried a range of native spices, including Mountain pepper, Aniseed Myrtle, saltbush, and strawberry gum, among others. Our host, Bridget, was fantastic and displayed a deep knowledge and passion for native spices. I will definitely be incorporating some of these varieties into my cooking. I highly recommend both the cafe and the workshop.
My family and I visited Saltbush for the first time today, had an awesome lunch there the soup of the day was so delicious as was the pulled lamb breakfast. We also tasted some of the beautiful syrups, which we purchased. Will be a regular stop for us now
MADE is well worth a visit in its own right, but lunch at the Saltbush kitchen is a special treat. I had Al's Spicey Beans. The main spice was mountain pepper. It was topped with two poached eggs and had a lovely piece of sourdough toast (Basilo I think?)Everyone else in my group was pleased with their choice.
Went for breakfast pulled lamb was fantastic. Tracey had lunch barramundi fish cakes with a sauce to die for.
Great spot for a coffee, next to the eureka park and playground. With native Australian influences in their food, it is something a bit different.
