Lassen Mineral Lodge Saloon

This lodge has seen better days, but the rooms were comfortable, the shower/plumbing were great. There was plenty of hot water and the location (15 minutes from the park), the staff and the food were fantastic for someone passing through. Rooms: Rooms are dated, but serviceable. There is not any AC (only a ceiling fan) but with the cool mountain nights, there is great hydronic wall heat. Nearby activities: You really can't get any closer to the south entrance of the park! Food drinks: I had a burger and it really hit the spot. The service staff was very courteous. Had supper there, burgers were AMAZING. Breakfast the next morning was just as good. Reasonably priced food, friendly staff. Would totally come again, as it's the only restaurant near the south entrance to Lassen. Service: 5 Location: 5

This place rules. It's super close to Lassen, and has a bomb bar and cafe to spice up your trip and relax after a day of hiking and stargazing. Highly recommend. Everyone here was exceptionally nice. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Know what to expect! The wifi is slow and the rooms lack TVs and phones. But this place is located just a few minutes from the national park. So, that means...go TF outside! I stayed for 3 nights and planned my days around the store/restaurant hours. It's helpful to have a hearty meal before or after hiking at the park and they didn't disappoint.
